Brewery in your gut may sound like lots of fun but it is not!

Serious consequences can be a reality and not to be laughed at. And the only way to go about it is to take responsibility of it yourself, so let’s start with a look what it is.

I stumbled across this scientific study, which is very interesting to me: it is about gut fungus and its link to Type 1 diabetes. This is something the scientists discovered by chance and were surprised that it existed in the first place.

Science is wondrous, is a way to measure just about anything in the world. By scientific methods we know the distance between stars and how long it takes to reach the moon. However, there are many, many things that science still doesn’t know, things that have not been researched or have not yet been found out. Why some things get scientifically researched and some things, however important, remain in the domain of ‘folkwisdom’, is beyond me but maybe more about that in another blog.

However, I am not a blind fan of science, I feel it has its good place but many, many things in life go beyond science, life is greater than its measurements! You can’t measure how much you love and still, love is the strongest force in the world.

Professor Outi Vaarala from University of Helsinki and her group have had years’ long study which involved a large group of children who were in the risk group of diabetes Type 1 but still healthy.

They found out that

“An alarming sign was an increase in Saccharomyces and Candida fungi in the gut which was specifically observed in the affected patients. On the other hand, those who were spared the disease despite strong other indications, the amounts of Saccharomyces and Candida were normal. Patients were also found to have signs of intestinal inflammation in stool samples which were taken at the start of follow-up.”

My conclusion: Your gut problems are thus not to be ignored or laughed at, they may lead to a very serious illness. You take care of your gut now and your life later on may be much brighter.

The ingredients that make a good brewery are sugar and yeast and that is the case even if the brewing happens in your gut. Getting your gut microbiome to be the best possible one can take either years: you can try to figure it out by yourself and put more years to it or maybe good advise from someone. Following advise always makes the path easier!

I have made my life mission to help people with their intestinal problems. Here is how I can help.
